The Blues Villa, with its imposing structure and strategic location near the coast, played a significant role in the social and administrative activities of the time. The thick walls, high ceilings, and expansive verandas are characteristic of Dutch colonial architecture, designed to provide respite from the tropical heat while offering a commanding view of the surroundings. Originally serving as a grand residence for Dutch officials, the structure has been meticulously preserved and restored, retaining its original charm while incorporating modern luxuries.

Creating a Heaven
What started as a retirement dream following Janaka Masakkara’s distinguished career in the Sri Lanka Army and subsequent tenure in the private sector, culminating at MAS Intimates led to the purchase of a charming colonial-style house in Galle in 2018. This endeavour has since flourished into a cherished family venture, nurtured with love and dedication.
Opened in 2019 after a passionate renovation and refurbishment the Old Classical Era home now stands in all its glory adorned with luxury interior and style. The place is filled with brightness, warmth and a new rich energy for the perfect tropical dream holiday and a place for you to relax and rejuvenate in secure seclusion with plenty of colour and nature sounds of the birds and a one-off visit by peacocks in the vicinity.
